The Project
Wellness rooftop garden terrace
Six Senses Rome, set in the historic Palazzo Salviati Cesi Mellini with interiors by Patricia Urquiola, built its identity on natural materials, biophilic design, and sustainable luxury. Its rooftop garden terrace needed shade that read as part of the landscape — not as equipment.
The answer was the FIM Capri in its wooden build: side-post parasols in protective-varnished structural timber with robust aluminium fittings and stainless-steel fasteners. The units rotate a full 360 degrees so staff can walk the shade around the lounge settings as the Roman sun moves, and the solution-dyed acrylic canopies deliver UPF 50+ protection with the durability to handle a high-exposure urban rooftop.
For eco-conscious developments, wellness resorts, and design-forward terraces across North America, this installation shows how natural aesthetics and heavy-duty shade engineering coexist without compromise.
