W Hotel Pool Deck

The W Ibiza sits directly on the beachfront of Santa Eulalia del Río, its pool deck designed by Baranowitz + Kronenberg as a high-energy social hub that mixes bohemian ease with the W brand's playful luxury. Fully exposed to sea winds and full-day Balearic sun, the deck needed serious commercial shade that wouldn't clutter the space with poles.

The hotel specified the FIM Flexy Large — an Italian side-post modular system whose dual-carrier posts suspend large rectangular canopies over the seating below, keeping the pool deck completely open for loungers and service circulation. The marine-grade powder-coated aluminium structure and stainless-steel fasteners shrug off salt air, while solution-dyed acrylic canopies deliver UPF 50+ protection and hold their colour under constant coastal exposure.
