The Project
Alpine pool garden
Hotel Arlberg in Lech is a 5-star superior chalet hotel run by the Schneider family since 1956 — the kind of property where every fixture is chosen for craft as much as function. For the pool garden set against the Arlberg peaks, aluminium hardware would have struck the wrong note.
The hotel selected the Glatz Alexo, the heritage parasol of the Swiss line: a centre-pole frame in fine ash wood under clear protective varnish, finished with the Alexo's iconic nickel-plated brass tilt joint. Guests angle the canopy against the dazzling high-altitude sun with one hand. Overhead, the Class 5 polyacrylic fabric works harder than it looks — UPF 50+ and highly lightfast against alpine glare.
For custom estates, boutique lodges, and heritage properties across North America, the Alexo proves that technical fabric performance and old-world craftsmanship belong on the same frame.
