Glatz F-Line · Wind-Certified · Swiss-Engineered
Wind Resistant Commercial Umbrellas — Rated for High-Wind Conditions
Swiss-engineered shade systems built to defy the elements. Certified in aerodynamic wind tunnels to stand firm in winds up to 115 km/h.
The Swiss Engineering Advantage
Engineered to Defy the Wind. Designed to Elevate Your Space.
When regular patio umbrellas face a sudden summer gust, they behave like sails — trapping high-pressure air underneath, buckling at the joints, or lifting straight out of their bases. At CSC Shade, we believe that premium outdoor shade shouldn't be a hazard. By partnering with Glatz, Europe's pioneer in high-performance shade engineering since 1895, we bring you an elite range of windproof parasols designed to stay standing when other umbrellas fail.
Aerodynamic Flat-Roof Profiles
Unlike deeply curved domestic umbrellas that trap wind, Glatz F-Line models feature streamlined, flat-roof canopy geometries that let air glide across the surface, dramatically reducing wind resistance.
Telescopic Table Clearance
Our centre-pole models feature a patented counter-rotating telescopic system that lifts the canopy as it closes, effortlessly clearing standard table heights of 85 to 125 cm — no furniture relocation required.
Elastic Dynamic Flexing
Glatz structures combine high-grade anodised aluminium masts with fiberglass-reinforced components and flexible strut ends. The canopy perimeter flexes elastically to absorb dynamic wind loads and snaps back into perfect, taut shape.
Premium Marine-Grade Fabrics
Available in spun-dyed Polyacrylic (Quality 5) at 300 g/m² density — outstanding fade resistance, water column rating over 350 mm, and medical-grade UPF 50+ that filters over 98% of harmful UV rays.
Wind-Certified Collection
The Glatz Windproof Collection
Curated centre-pole and cantilever shade structures, certified in wind tunnels and rated on the Beaufort Wind Force Scale (Bft).

Fortino Pro
Compact Strength
True strength is not a question of size. The Fortino Pro is our most popular compact centre-pole model, engineered specifically for high-exposure environments like elevated balconies, coastal dining patios, and rooftop bars. Its two-part profiled aluminum mast features a runner and crown moulded from fiberglass-reinforced plastic, held together with rustproof A4 stainless steel rivets.

Fortero Pro
The Restaurant Favourite
Sleek, modern, and built for heavy-duty commercial use, the Fortero Pro is the preferred choice for commercial spaces where large footprint coverage and daily durability are required. Featuring a massive 55 × 2.5 mm profiled mast and die-cast aluminium components, it withstands constant wear and tear without losing its elegant form.

Fortello Pro & LED
The Day-and-Night Solution
Spacious and bold, the Fortello Pro is built with a heavy-duty 67 mm telescopic mast. The Fortello LED version integrates dimmable warm LED lighting strips directly into the structural ribs. Powered wirelessly by a rechargeable battery pack hidden inside the frame, it provides up to 10 hours of ambient glow.

Fortano
The Windproof Cantilever
Traditional cantilever umbrellas are notoriously vulnerable to wind because they twist and rotate on their hangers. The Glatz Fortano completely redefines cantilever engineering. Designed with a non-rotatable frame, an oval mast (66 × 95 × 3 mm), and a specialised flat-roof profile, its synchronous crank mechanism raises the trolley along the side mast while opening the canopy in one fluid motion.
Foundation Engineering
Premium Anchoring: Sockets & Weighted Bases
A windproof canopy is only as strong as its connection to the ground. To maintain the certified wind limits of your Glatz parasol, it must be paired with original, heavy-duty mounting hardware.
In-Ground Sockets (Professional Installation)
The ultimate choice for commercial restaurant patios, beachfronts, and public parks.
Ground sleeves are cast directly into a concrete foundation (60 × 60 × 60 cm for larger models), transferring wind forces straight to the earth.
- Eliminates bulky bases — zero tripping hazards for waitstaff or guests
- Maximizes usable dining floor space
- Ground Sockets PX for Fortino and Fortero Pro
- Heavy-duty M4 Sockets for Fortello and Castello Pro
Mobile Weighted Bases
For properties where in-ground pouring isn't possible.
High-tonnage mobile bases designed to keep your parasol anchored safely, with options to move your shade as the sun moves.
- Z-Concrete Bases (70–90 kg): Standard centre-pole wind resistance
- M4 Galvanised Steel Frames (120–180 kg): Interchangeable concrete or granite plates
- Retractable Castor Slabs (Ponant & Kona): 360° rotating wheels hidden under casing
- Staff can reposition massive bases with ease as sun angles change
Fabric Science
A Healthier, Cooler Microclimate
Our premium parasols do more than block glare — they protect health and keep guests comfortable. While cheap polyester canopies trap heat like greenhouse glass, our Grade 5 spun-dyed polyacrylic canopies act as thermal insulators, reflecting solar radiation back into the atmosphere.
- UPF 50+
Medical-grade certification — blocks over 98% of harmful UVA and UVB rays
- 15–18°F
Reduction in perceived temperature underneath — an instant, refreshing microclimate
- 350 mm+
Water column rating — outstanding waterproofing and dirt resistance
